The unlikely duo of Seth Rogen and Charlize Theron works very well and their chemistry contributes greatly to the charm of the movie. In fact Charlize shows that she can ply her trade at any genre and steals the show at times. There are some genuinely funny moments throughout. Still, the movie fails to be anything more than OK for me. There wasn't a whole lot to hook me in and in the end I wasn't too fussed as to whether they made it or not.

Avengers: Endgame

The truth is they have done a splendid job with this film, both in creating an entertaining ride and paying homage to all of the previous movies of the franchise. It is genuinely witty and emotional and although 3 hours is a long run time, it is justified. The acting is of a high standard, with Robert Downey Jr's contribution being almost Oscar worthy. A terrific achievement by all involved.

Greta (2019)

A good premise and a great villain in Greta, played fantastically by Isabelle Huppert, but the film ultimately fails to thrill. A lack of character development is its biggest flaw and there is nothing new here that we have not already seen.

What should be an intriguing story of espionage pretty soon becomes monotonous and boring. You have to wonder that having changed so much of the true story that this is based on that the writers could have avoided creating such a dreary movie. All this despite good performances from Judi Dench and Sophie Cookson, among others.
