The King, the Widow, and Rick
Critic Consensus: "The King, The Widow, and Rick" spreads itself between too many storylines, and thereby doesn't accomplish much in the process.

Critic reviews for The King, the Widow, and Rick
There are a couple of decent scenes, but it's mostly people saying stuff you already knew or doing stuff they've already done in previous episodes.
If there's one thing that watching the opening to Season 8, episode 6 of The Walking Dead drove home to me, it's that this entire season so far has taken place in a pretty compressed time frame.
A solid episode...this episode didn't feel boring, or unnecessarily "artsy."
Last night's episode was a bit of a letdown from its recent hot streak, but as a lead-in to the half-season's "third act" it serves its purpose well.
The sixth episode of The Walking Dead's eighth season, "The King, the Widow, and Rick," was particularly full of stuff that had already happened on earlier episodes of the show.
