Employees wear matching blue vests and matching grimaces, caught between customers and corporate overseers. Sound dour? It's a riot. I live for sequences in the break room, when laugh lines pinball through the brilliant ensemble.

Superstore also isn't afraid to say that a situation that allows two mothers to give birth in drastically different circumstances is horribly broken and only getting worse.

Much of Superstore's political commentary has come through its relentless revision of established female character tropes... Superstore has assuredly and deftly used comedy to break taboos and stereotypes about sex and women's bodies.
