Guys, this finale broke my heart and simultaneously mended it.

The final episode of Orphan Black, the aptly titled "To Right the Wrongs of Many", has plenty to resolve, and thankfully, it does so easily.

Just like the tone of the last half of "To Right The Wrongs Of Many", the show has brought us together.

Thank you, John Fawcett (who also directed the finale) and Graeme Manson and all of the other writers who developed the show, and in particular, Tatiana Maslany, who, more than anyone else, helped bring it to life in such a spectacular fashion.

It is an unrepentant happy ending, for characters (and perhaps a nation) that could really use one.

It's fortunate that the show was able to end on its own terms, not rushing to an unearned conclusion or lingering long past its expiration date.

The humor and action in "To Right the Wrongs of Many" make it so easy to take its core filmmaking devices for granted.

There was always a storytelling aspect to this show-which is one of the things that makes it such great television.

All is as it should be: no cliffhangers, no unrealistic happy endings, just a bunch of people who fought to own their own stories and won.

"To Right the Wrongs of Many" depicts the characters heading down their own paths by drawing strength from their sestrahood.

As far as finales go, this one did a pretty good job of toeing the line between closing up everyone's stories but not spending the entire hour checking boxes for each and every character.

So it's time to leave our sestras behind, at last. In their own way, they each more or less get what they want, but in an open-ended enough way to not suggest that life is going to be perfectly easy for them from here on out.

After five seasons of often hair-raising insanity, it's kind of nice that Orphan Black ended in such peace.

I'd argue that it's one of the greatest series finales of all time.

The Orphan Black finale provided just enough closure to each of the characters we've grown to know and love while showcasing both the tense action sequences and the quiet, human moments it did equally well throughout its run.

For a series that at times felt as though it had gone off the rails, Orphan Black found itself back on track when it mattered most.
