News & Interviews for Line of Duty: Season 3
From hereon in, each episode ramped up the tension with surprises galore.
If the first three series have taught us anything, it's that the web of corruption stretches far and wide.
Yet, what makes Line of Duty so good is not just the traditional pleasures of plot, pace and characterisation. It's also Mercurio's entirely justified belief that the more technical aspects of an anti-corruption case can be extremely dramatic too.
We'd waited a long time, almost the entire length of this 90-minute finale, for some action. It was worth waiting for.
In many ways, the third series of Jed Mercurio's riveting police thriller felt like a climax - delivering not just the huge twists we've now come to expect, but explosive pay-offs to threads that had been running since the very first episode in 2012.
