At her best, Hilde embodies the wit, precociousness and probity of Lisa Simpson; at her worst, she resembles Claire Danes's exhaustingly intractable and petulant CIA agent Carrie Mathison in Homeland.

Prince is remarkable, and for every fleeting moment that you sense the "actor" in her coming to the surface, she follows it with a beat that's utterly spontaneous and affecting.

In Prince's tiny, extremely capable hands, Hilde is a hero worth rooting for, even when she feels more like a symbol of hashtag feminism than a person.
