[T]he continuation of a firmly female focus, delightfully dark angles on religious worship, education, and teenage issues, and terrific performances across the board ensure this is nothing short of a stellar Season 2.
Overall there are some great moments...That being said, the writing really hinders the show, leaving me thinking of the places it could go, the potential it has, and how it could have been more than just buzzwords.
While big events overwhelm most of the series, there's still dazzling performances to be seen from almost all of the cast, plus a few character arcs that will have you cheering from your sofa. Like I did. Loudly.
Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina continues to be stocked full of occult pleasures and oddities at every turn without falling into the "quirky" trap. It's not a flawless show, but it's a pleasurable and an oddly comforting one to binge.
