In the second season of "Better Things," Sam (Pamela Adlon) struggles with feeling unappreciated by her daughters Max (Mikey Madison), Frankie (Hannah Alligood), and Duke (Olivia Edward). She tries her best to bond with them, even as she interferes with Max's inappropriate relationship with a much older man. At the same time, Sam has to fend off unwanted advances from a deadbeat friend, as well as keep the peace with her deadbeat ex-husband Xander (Matthew Glaive). Things get even more interesting when Sam meets attractive single dad Robin (Henry Thomas).
