Critic Consensus: Arrow reestablishes its old school confidence thanks to the cast's physicality and action pedigree in aptly named "Legacy."
Critic reviews for Legacy
It's in some ways both frustrating and fascinating trying to predict which story beats Arrow's writers will throw into a hard reset during every season premiere.
It's an okay episode. I can even go as far as saying it's a good one.
Legacy was a transitional affair. It moved the plot along, while setting up the storylines for the season ahead. We're already off to a better start than last fall.
Legacy proved to be a solid return to form for the series, from its terrific action sequences to its balancing of the flashback sequences with present day concerns, it all worked pretty well.
There are also a number of brilliant fight sequences to get the blood flowing. Arrow knows what it does best, and it's utilising the physical skills of its cast.
