Critic Consensus: Arrow ratchets up the twists in a jaunty hour that elides the pitfalls of Oliver Queen's persistent brooding with a slam-bang pace.

Critic reviews for Unchained
It had everything: epic returns (Nyssa! Roy!), shocking revelations (Felicity's father!), and it even set up a civil war within the League of Assassins. "Unchained" was off the chain!
The latest episode logistically, emotionally, and narratively made not one single lick of sense... until the very end... Well-played, Arrow, my old friend. Well-played indeed.
Oh, wait a minute, this guy is her dad. Just like everyone predicted he would be.
It was an hour of moments rather than a truly good episode of television. And, yes, there were a lot of moments during "Unchained." Some of them very good, thankfully.
