Lara Jean learns a lot of lessons--she changes and she grows--but she never becomes anything other than herself. It's always her discovering new sides of herself. That's so important for young women to see.

Why don't I feel the same today as I did when I watched the original? Animation [is] much more expressive...this film is so deeply photorealistic the expressiveness of these characters is lost.

Always Be My Maybe (2019)
There's a lot I want to say about Always Be My Maybe but it's mostly squealing and giggling in glee. Neither predictable or clichéd, instead ABMM hits all the tropes--which makes it an enjoyable character driven rom-com that I, personally, loved.

Every generation has their teen movie but BOOKSMART does something different. Not only does it center two female leads who are empowered and supportive of each other, it is also nonstop realness that is true and pure and hilarious.
