It's a more digestible form of hypnosis, and as the film progresses, it becomes increasingly layered in its parallelism of craft, politics, and war.

[It]...will probably turn off most general filmgoing audiences. Yet, if you're willing to give something outside the norm a try, or you're a fan of the of the original and can get past the idea that remaking it would be sacrilege, I highly recommend it

Suspiria is a stunning cinematic masterwork that is, like all the best horror, both visually mesmerizing and profoundly unsettling.

In creating its own curious mix of history, supernaturalism, queerness and style, the film deserves to be celebrated as an original, truly fearless piece of cinema.

Suspiria is dense. At times, the disparate themes almost seem at odds with each other. But there are clues, if you look for them.

Director Luca Guadagnino's Suspiria remake, has so little to do with the original Dario Argento classic that it might as well drop the title and take its chances with a lawsuit.

This is a beautiful, horrific film that I personally deem as a modern masterpiece, and I dare anyone to not at least acknowledge the film's impact and scope, regardless of how you personally react to its content

Suspiria is a collision of dreamlike visuals - some of them from the recesses of even a witch's worst nightmares, culminating in the erotic and rhythmic choreography of desperate dance movements.
