The film is fairly formulaic, though some of its puns and wisecracks are hilarious, especially those delivered by the Littles' lazy and cynical Persian cat.

The plot, however, is both shabbier and less emotionally involving than its predecessor.

When Stuart tells Margolo that her wing is as good as new, she demurs, then appears to allude to the relative merits of SL2 and its cloying predecessor: 'It's much, much better.'

At 78 minutes it just zings along with vibrance and warmth.

This is all the stuff that was so watchable the first time. Done over. But at least it's nonlethal entertainment.

Audience Reviews for Stuart Little 2

This sequel much like the original is only for kids and the extremely young at heart. The plot like the predecessor is entirely adequate but a major improvement is Michael J Fox's voice acting and actual scenes of action. It's better than the first one. But it's still a bit rubbish.

It was okay, not a improvement on the first, the first was much better.
