Scooby-Doo and the Witch's Ghost Reviews
It has a decent pacing, preventing you from getting bored while also keeping your attention. The jokes, while mild, are humorous, and the animation is absolutely gorgeous. The worst setback this movie has is not the concept itself, but the plotline.
The alleged ghost we're promised doesn't appear until the last 10 minutes, and that alone is a massive let-down. The ghost's design in the film, while not nearly as menacing and translucent as the one in the front cover, is well voice-acted and and animated spectacularly. It's a shame a villain with so much potential was given so little screen time to pave way for the 'expansive' plot-line. I mean, seriously. It tells us the mystery, then gives us nothing but jokes for about half an hour, and when the finale kicks in, we're given the most obvious, bland and unintriguing plot twist I've ever fucking seen. Your movie's front cover is them being chased by a freaking ghost, you're hardly even trying to make this surprising in the least.
Quick overview - Try it if you're not big on stories. It feels lazy, and despite the concept being as interesting as it is, it'll do nothing but disappoint you. I've seen better Scooby-Doo movies in my time.
