Robin Williams: Live on Broadway (2002)
Critic Reviews for Robin Williams: Live on Broadway
While Williams is noticeably less hyperactive than in past appearances, he still relies heavily on a quaint combination of antiquated stereotypes and frantic mugging.
His breakneck delivery, camp mannerisms and array of accents (including a dismal Winston Churchill) only emphasize, rather than conceal, the weakness of his material.
His standup has always been funny, and this live special is a great example of exactly how hilarious the man can be when he's simply let loose without a net.
Audience Reviews for Robin Williams: Live on Broadway
I don't have a lot of experience with watching Robin Williams on stage but I have to think that this is one of his finer routines. The hyper activity accentuates the comedy rather than detracting from it. Brilliant stand up from a master.
This is absolutely the most awesome stand up comdey show I've ever seen. I didn't know that Robin Williams was so hilarious till I saw this show. I especially loved the jokes about Scotsmen, golf, kitties and the part where he puts his face behind his hairy arm, fabulous. If you haven't seen this show you must see it as soon as possible.
Funny and always on point, Robin Williams at his comic best!
