Not their best, but still a great movie both as a stand-alone and as the Coen's rendition of the Odyssey.

O brother, where art thou? Is a Coen brothers film. Really good acting from all the cast especially Tim Blake Nelson and even George Clooney. Very good and funny character which are portrayed well by the actors. One of the best sound tracks to any film with such great songs like I am a man of constant sorrow and Big Rick candy mountain.
Some really good comedy with some great laughs. Very good cinematography with some really good shots. The film also has great style with really good back prips and setting. The story is very good with some very good scenes. Over all I give it a 8/10 - worth paying for two tickets

Every movie maker should take a page from this movie. Every shot is a postcard. Every song fits perfectly. The old colloquial speak is inspired. 1 of a kind!

Menelaus O'Daniel is a great creation and the film has a hilarious and greatly rewatchable climax. The f'ing sepia tone did my nut in though.

I just love everything in this film. It brings a wonderful theme in a different way and the types of the Coen brothers. This film was set me free. "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" is a satire that can be enjoyed with a variety of surprises, weirdness, and humor of black comedy. Insinuating society, religion, and politics (of course), this film impresses memorable. The performance of the actor is so amazing and idiotic. I thought, "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" is a film that illuminates a unique idea from its genre.

So many years later, I finally caught up and watched it. And it is historical.

A fun, well-written, and entertaining film, "O Brother Where Art Thou?" gives some great performances from George Clooney and John Turturro. This film helps prove the Coen brother's true talent.

As fun as O Brother, Where Art Thou? can be, it has an overlong, dragged-out feel. There seems to be less material than a 105-minute feature can support. And, as is often the case in Coen Brothers movies, there is minimal character development. We learn a little bit about Ulysses, but almost nothing about anyone else. In large part, we're willing to stick with these three individuals because the actors playing them do a good job. Clooney radiates charisma as he slides into character. John Turturro and Tim Blake Nelson are both effective foils, and the entire supporting cast falls into place. The Coens are master filmmakers but this is something of a misstep. Not by much(after all this is the Coens we are talking of) but it is.

Probably the most unique Coen Bros. film.

So mediocre and pat. The only reason to watch it is to be spurred on to see that fantastic concert film.

It takes a while to get into, but O Brother, Where Are Thou proves to be an entertaining piece of the Coen brothers' quintessential dark comedy.
