Mother's Day focuses on two ordinary women living either side of the Irish Sea, brought together in the wake of the tragedy. On the day before Mother's Day 1993, Colin and Wendy Parry's lives are torn apart when their youngest son Tim is killed in a terrorist attack by the IRA in Warrington's town centre. The attack shocks ordinary people on both sides of the Irish Sea.
