Blurring the boundaries between fiction and documentary, using non-professional and filmed in the agricultural heartland of the Central Valley of California, Lupe Under the Sun takes inspiration from the grandfather of the director himself to tell the story of an old Mexican immigrant actors. Away from his family in Mexico, flattened by work and poverty, Lupe is forced to face his destiny.
