Movie Info

In this film, Shirley Temple stars as a little girl who is left as a marker for a $20.00 bet. Temple's father kills himself and the bookie doesn't know what to do with Temple. Needless to say, she wins over the hearts of all and sundry.

This is the sort of yarn that Runyon told well and often: hard-hearted wise guys melting when they have to put aside tough talk and show their true emotions. It'll have you showing your emotions, too.
