Well, somehow, It Chapter 2 is already in the database, despite not even having a confirmed title or cast. Oh well, here's to hype. So my main hopes for this movie are 2 things: that it delivers another round of heartwarming story from the adult cast, and that it delivers consistent horror. These were really the 2 defining qualities of the first movie and what made it so great, so hopefully the second film, despite having an alltogether different cast, will deliver. My only fear for this movie, however, is that Warner Bros will give it a ridiculous budget because they know the first movie made so much money, and as a result the filmmakers would lose sight of what made the first movie great and have ridiculous CGI heavy scenes. Granted, the second half of the book does call for some, without spoiling anything, scenes that would certainly require a decent budget. I just want this movie to stay faithful to its predecessor. However, I also don't want it to have such a low budget that they are forced to overuse bad CGI, because some scenes certainly require computer effects, and some of the ones in the first movie were great, and others were very cheesy. Overall I want It Chapter 2 to deliver everything great about the first film: consistently entertaining story and terrifying horror, as well as keep a budget enough to have non-cheesy effects but also not a monsterous budget. Hopefully It Chapter 2 will float, too!
