The first -- and in most ways, the best -- of Bela Lugosi's 'Monogram Nine' from legendarily penurious producer Sam Katzman.

An absurdist masterpiece for its title alone

It's one of those laughable and forgettable cheapie films that should be appealing to cult fans and those viewers who can never get enough of Bela.

Bela Lugosi is driven murderously insane by the memory of his unfaithful wife. Typically ridiculous Monogram script in which corpses briefly return to life and no explanation if offered for Lugosi's dementia, but otherwise well made and fun for Lugosi fans.
