Pretty inoffensive stuff! Expected more substance to be honest!

Amazing!! Best movie I've seen in years!

Some of the criticism are valid, but overall it's a worthwhile, important story that reminds us all of why we go to the movies.

At some point, you begin to wonder, "Just what is WRONG with the Academy Awards process?" Yeah, it's that bad: Standard, formulaic Hollywood fare, with race as the main ingredient. Totally unenlightening, unless you never knew about Italian-American stereotypes. A near-total waste of time, leavened only by the fact that I got a free movie promo code from Redbox to watch it.

The type of film that manages to appeal to a wide audience, based on a true story.
Must see !

I very much much liked the basic story at its heart, where we have two very different people becoming good friends through their shared experience. I didn't like how story was really idealistic because of its extreme duality.

Charming ass characters and a great story.

There is a limit even for the crowd-pleasing movies: when they try to foist you a new Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" 75 years later. "Green Book" strives to drag with "Etude Op. 25, No. 11 in A Minor (Winter Wind)" written by Chopin, but the reality remains unchanged as then: "Every Day Is Exactly the Same" (Nine Inch Nails, 2006). It is the paradox of uplifting films: if they were effective in triggering a tangible social impact, there would be no need to continue producing them. The worst work of one of the Farrelly brothers pocketed 3 Oscars.

While this easy-going crowd-pleaser never ventures outside its familiar territory, it has a message that's hardly unwelcome.

Can't go wrong if you can make a movie about racial tensions in the US without people cringing with guilt. Just hilarious!

Aesthetically moderate from narrative merits, out of an independent craft, that solidify its arguably deservingly achieved honor when being literally driven, with surprisingly genuine smoothness considering the approached topic, by the likeable leads' dynamic, delivering some decent sort of social statement through parallel, mutual understanding. (B+)

A movie that deals with the harsh reality of racism, Green Book does an excellent job in showing the struggles both men endure while highlighting their character and humor. Viggo Mortenson and Mahershala Ali give heartfelt performances of two men, while completely different from one another, develop a life long friendship through their shared experiences. In a day and age where racism doesn't approve of mixing whites and blacks, the true king of Gondor says, "It is not this day."

Super annoying to watch for far too many reasons to list.

love this movie. It is a movie to see as a family, it shows you how beautiful a friendship is, a movie to watch at Christmas. the scene of the rain, is the peak moment of the performance of Mahershala and his well-deserved Oscar. 9/10

Even with a few bumps in the road, Green Book drives home a 7/10. It's an agreeable feel-good movie that tries to look past the heavier context and focus on the relationships and self-acceptance found in each character. The story is delivered with some exceptional cinematography and unforgettable chemistry. However, the fact that it won Best Picture in 2018 over more original movies is not something I would expect, as the story did not leave a lasting impression like other nominees in the category. While it doesn't offer up any real solutions for racial equality, Green Book still fits the bill for a solid family night movie. It's a story that is sure to entertain, even if it is just to sit back, smile, and watch an astounding performance of two grown men throwing chicken bones out of a moving car together.

Two oddballs on a road trip. How interesting can that be? Very interesting. Great writing and amazing acting!
