This is what hollywood has done on purpose to every single western made live action anime adaptation.

Awful!

If it sounds interesting to you, watch the anime or read the manga . . .

Everyone complaining how terrible of an adaptation street fighter is, should watch this. The translation from the anime to live action is just laughable with how bad it is. I can't even believe this is a real thing.

This adaptation of the popular manga is essentially a bunch of lost opportunities on display. It has a great supporting cast ... Chris Penn in particular steals the show, but the leads all have zero charisma and we spend most of our time with them. There's also some pretty cool moments, including some impressively gory martial arts action, but the film spends very little time focusing on this stuff. 3/4 of this film is boring dialogue and montages featuring the bland leads. Given all the time we spend listening to the leads talk, you'd expect the plot to be pretty clearly explained, but it's not. It's difficult to tell why any of the characters are doing what they do.

Post-apocolyptic setting for this story based on a Japanese anime publication, where the Master of the North Star comes to the aid of a terrorized village against a violent clan headed by the Southern Cross leader Lord Shin to restore the Earth. Notable only for a special guest appearance from wrestler Vader. Fell a bit flat for me and probably for it's anime fans as well.

American produced fantasy adventure based on a popular Japan comic/amime series. Gary Daniels simply lacks headliner status and Malcolm McDowell is there for basically one scene. Muddled plot and budgetary shortfalls weigh down this production. Best to leave this to those who know the material.

A pretty terrible sci-fi flick that despite a quite decent cast and some gory effects simply cannot hold the attention. The plot is see-through, the acting will give you splinters, and the script is about as well written as a failed no budget TV show from a third world country.

Didn't care for this at all when I saw it. I wouldn't even call this "Fist of the North Star" due to the filmmakers' lack of researching the series as well as they should. If you want to see a true Fist of the North Star movie, look up the 1986 animated film from Japan. At least it was more accurate than this garbage.

While Fist of the North Star isn't my all time favorite anime, I still thought it was good for what it was. This on the other hand lowered the bar for crap like Dragonball Evolution, or the Wachowski Brother's remake of Speed Racer. Dear... Sweet... Lord.

This movie is really bad, so bad you might just watch it to see how bad it gets. Also, it has Rufio in it, they call him Bat in this one, but it's Rufio (it's seriously the same character)

Nothing like watching white people with mullets pretend to be Asians in the future. This film features terrible acting, flat action, 80s music video effects, dialogue perfected by toddlers. Avoid. Not even enjoyable in a good-bad film kind of way.
