Hmmm, so the characters are pretty awful, the dialogue is pretty mediocre, and the cinematography is meh and I ended up watching it at 1.5x speed for the last half because I was getting seriously bored. Also, the concept itself is ludicrous, the US bringing back the draft would be the most politically unpopular action in US government history and would be met with riots and huge public outrage. What is the supposed twist that people are talking about? Nothing surprising or interesting happened in this movie.

Seemed like more of an after thought then a movie.

Best movie ever! Jon did great in this one! Best movie he ever did beside snitch and the walking dead!

Shane Walsh is Shane Walsh in The Walking Dead but Jon Bernthal is really a Shane Walsh in every movies!

gripping look at life in America if the Draft were to return and a modern day retelling of what the Draft must of been like for those in the 60's and early 70's.

This is a pre-release version of the movie that is well put together. Americans live in a free society until their dorky leaders need them and then it's just as communist as any other country. Script is tight and philosophical so be prepared to think and think again. Sharp mental anguish comes across well as the men take note of what they may face. No women chosen alas. Nibbles: Apple.

Bought it because Elijah was in it and was very happy with it. Well put together and really tells the different perspectives of the different characters. Really enjoyed it

I am going to pass on this one.

This movie had the beginnings of some interesting ideas, discussions, characters, but it did not quite carry through. However, the idea of what would happen if the draft gets reinstituted in this county is interesting -- though why only men appeared to be drafted is just one of the problems with the movie.

Dull little "What if.." movie about 3 friends drafted into the war with Iraq

I wanted this movie to be so much better. The idea, characters and acting are all good, if not great. It's the story. Perhaps there is a lot more to this movie that hit the cutting room floor. Lot's of holes and a weak build up to what could have been a decent ending. Whoever wrote this didn't create any attachment to these characters, and is held up only by the actors doing the best with a weak story.

30 days in the lives of three guys drafted by the military. Elijah Wood looks like a 12 year old school boy sporting a sasquatch mask... and Chris Klein, well, Chris Klein wouldn't even make a good television actor.

It's one of those 90 minute movies that feels like 180.

Crap. Seriosly, really crappy. The premise holds a lot of promise and potential that never is released. The pacing is off, the acting is bad, it's miscast an it is just really hard to care.

I don't know why the critics disliked this film as much as they did. With several wars occurring within my lifetime, and two that are still going and began within 780 days of me turning 18, another draft has always been an interesting concept to think about. Sure the acting wasn't superb in the film, and it was slow at times, but the concept of the film and theme of camaraderie between the trio of friends was great. The ending gave this film an extra half star!

Three friends living in newyork all at diferent stages in their lives, set against the backdrop of a a draft that has fallen on american citizens due to the war. these three get the notices and reflect together what this means, all three having diferent reasons and viewpoints on going/not going. the film is handled well at times, and even trhough its obvious which climate this is set against, not too much is talked about. 9.11 is mentioned and a Los angeles event with more deaths than ground zero in newyork, but again its glimpsed over and to a degree this works for the film, its three friends and their close family dealing with events, and for this while not brilliant its a interesting watch.

Ehh don't see it. Just not interesting; overdramatic...feels like someone's senior thesis project. Too close to home as well.

A necessidade dos americanos se auto-justificarem estraga o que podia mesmo ser um bom filme...
