This is a great documentry movie I liked alot and Sting is one of my favorite musican artist, this is the movie that you see in him that he started his solo career artist after he left The Police.

I saw this in the theatre on New Year's Day 1986 with my best friend.

I wish I was still that young.

I wish we were all still that young.

Amazing music, kick-ass backup band. Sting at the height of his formidable powers.

One of my favorite movies. Incredible band and awesome music. Branford definitely steals the show. WIsh they'd stayed together a little longer.

Sting looks so incredibly young. What a major talent. Marsalis is great too. The concert footage is nice.

I wish this movie would come out on DVD before I retire. It's fascinating on a couple of levels. At the time, I felt musicians could especially connect with it.

Sting på sitt mest pretensiøse ("I think France has a certain... ambiaaaaance"), men musikken er super og prosessen er spennende. Dynamikken mellom Newcastle-nyveiveren og jazzkameratene fra junaiten er kostelig.

After watching this, I remember now why I love Sting so much. Perhaps it was the fact that I memorized the words to the songs on Mom's Blue Turtles CD and those Police songs I love so much that helped me appreciate it more. I was worried about there being a heated argument, but there was none of that. They appeared to be having a hell of a good time. It was a nice experience

The peak of sting's career (IMO) with a fabulous jazz band and excellent new material

Even if you don't like Sting, it's a good look inside what it takes to put on a concert tour. From deciding what the backup singers should wear, to arguing with the band over why Sting makes more money than they do, to the delivery room as Trudy delivers another baby, you really get a feel for the life of a major musician.

I so want to see this again! This phase of Sting's solo career was my favorite and the musicians he worked with are phenomenal. Omar Hakim's drum solo in I Burn For You is not to be missed.

Casual fans will not like this, but for ardent fans like myself, this is THE BUSINESS! The live stuff is without question gems for those who have not heard it before.
