Movie Info

This documentary offers a fascinating look at the American Ballet Theater as it prepared to embark upon its 1992 European tour. With neither narration nor interviews, it is simply a chronicle of the dancers' daily rehearsals at the company's Lower Manhattan headquarters. There lithe young dancers are seen taking instruction from ballet veterans; the creative process of the dancers as they create their moves is also examined. Toward the end, the troupe is seen performing in Rome, Copenhagen, and at the Acropolis in Athens.
