Adrift in Soho Reviews
This film captures the mood of soho before the 60s and I urge any sohoite to catch this while they can!
The director manages to join the characters, and the sense of change into an alluring and beautiful film. There are many characters here from the old Soho and you really feel transported to the end of the 1950ï¿ 1/2(TM)s- on the cusp of the swinging 60ï¿ 1/2(TM)s. Behrens has managed to weave a number of story elements together, post war Britain, anxiety about an imminent nuclear war, social change and the Free movement to transport us seemlessly to this time.
I thoroughly enjoyed this film and urge you to go and see it
